Designed as a travel guide for both locals and tourists, Discover Dolj, features a simple design and includes over 650 tourist attractions aiming at helping users discover the county’s rich history and cultural heritage, an events calendar as well as tourism related information such as accommodation, restaurants, local guides or info points.
Top attractions, recommendations and reviews
To help visitors feel and experience life as a local, hand-crafters, local producers, traditional cuisine and events are highlighted in the pages available in the Discover Dolj Recommendations category as the county’s top attractions.
The platform encourages users to explore the best the county has to offer including top attractions that locals are so proud of: the Art Museum, the Jean Mihail Palace, the Nicolae Romanescu Park or Craiova’s historic centre. Each attraction has its own page within the platform, where users can find more information about its location, contact details as well as check opening hours in real time. Moreover, users are invited to share their experience by adding reviews and “follow” their favourite attraction pages to keep up to date with the latest events and information.
Interactive maps
One of our favourite features available in the Discover Dolj app is the Interactive Map that allows users to navigate around Dolj without missing any important tourist attraction, all of them being available to see directly on the map. Users also have the possibility to filter local attractions based on their interests.
Tourist routes
The tourist routes available within the app allows users to choose thematic tour and discover the best Craiova has to offer or find out more about Dolj’s customs, heritage and traditions. The most adventurous travellers can opt for the EuroVelo 6 bike tour or they can follow a route to discover top vineyards in the county.

This page allows users to discover top attractions near the location they’re in and filter them based on their interests.
News
This news section is the place where users can find information around the latest events and developments in the county. Every time the City Council shares news, users will be notified through an automatic alert.
